The Coyotes have won seven in a row in San Jose and are hoping to continue that momentum with a pair of home games against the Sharks on Wednesday and Thursday.

“We’ve just got to keep playing with that mentality,” Messier said.

“We know that we’re going to have to go to our best hockey, but it’s not just about winning.

It’s about having fun and enjoying it.”

The Sharks have won five straight in San Diego.

The Sharks are 1-1-1 in the Western Conference with a 3-2-1 record against the Coyotes.

The two teams have not met since a 3/14/14 victory in San Francisco.

The Coyotes beat the Sharks 2-1 on Nov. 1.
